Greek Orthodox Easter
As every year we celebrate Greek Orthodox Easter ‘ Sto Lofo ‘, on our hill. Or at ‘van den Heuvel’. Similarly this year. We had all sorts of dishes to eat again but no lamb on the spit this year. A kind of huge souvlaki, here called kotosoufli, on the bbq, along with chicken. Out of the oven we had 2 dishes with lamb, a delicious pastitio, various vegetable dishes and a huge Easterloaf. Along with salads and sweets, taken by various guests, we had more than enough to eat! It was a mixed company of Greeks, Dutch, a Frenchman, an Austrian, Germans and Englishmen. And, this is the most important: it was a splendid afternoon!!
